1972 ford 3000 hydro lift problems

I have a 1972 ford 3000 tractor. My hydraulics will not pick up my bush hog or disks unless I move the lever located under the seat on the right. I have to hold it half way for my hydraulics to work in full range. Has anyone heard of this before and know how to solve the problem

I am having the same problem on my Ford 3000. Purchased this tractor two weeks ago, the lift came up and went down with no problems while
nothing attached to the three point. Put a bush hog on it and it raises about 4" at a very slow pace, lowers about as fast. Can't figure it
out.

Need to pull the lift cover and rebuild it. My 3000 quit lifting my flail mower over about 6 inches last summer. Rebuilding the lift cover with a new cam pin fixed it. The kit is available on this site and the forum has plenty of info on what to do.

I agree with Ultradog, below.

Remove the lift cover, replace the cam follower pin and the lift piston O ring, and readjust the draft and position control adjustments.

Might want to thoroughly clean the hydraulic sump while the cover is off.

thanks for the advice. I pulled the cover off. And found that someone had fabricated a new pin to ride on the cam the new pin had a five eight diameter instead of the five sixteenths diameter so I degreased everything and washed it clean changed all the o rings and added five gallons on new hydraulic oil and now everything works flawlessly. Thanks again for the advice
