Decent deal

(quoted from post at 22:08:18 11/29/18) Not a bad deal for someone.
I wonder if it's a 4500 though.
4500 was a flat nose. That slant nose came
out sometime later.

I agree. The loader frame on the 4500 bolted directly to the bottom of the radiator surround as well and the frame on that one doesn't come that far forward.

I questioned that too, that's why I didn't title it 4500.
I'd have to convert that loader to fully hydraulic and revisit that 3 pt.
Still think it would be a decent deal. Not for me this year though.
I bought two just before the snow started flying. Another Jube and an AC D14.

Musing about that tractor again this
morning I notice some other things about
it.
It's definately newer than 1975 so it isn't
any of these models - 3500, 3550, 4400 or
4500
First, the twin lift handles for the 3
point. Those came out in 76.
The more squarish front bolster is
indicative of a later tractor too and means
it probably has hydrostatic steering.
I'm not as well versed in the later
industrials but it's maybe a 345 or 445?
It has 6 on 6" front lug pattern. Ken's 545
has 8 on 8" lug pattern.
I'll post a couple of photos. Ken's 545 in
front and my cobbled yellow tractor behind.
Note the 'square' bolster on his and the
more rounded pre 76 one on mine.
Also note his 8 on 8 front wheels in the
second photo.
Anyway, it's fun to look for clues and
"sleuth out" tractors like this.
I'm sure I missed some.

</a>Just saw this, UD I think your close if not on that money, here?s
My 345, 6 lug fronts, angle grille, loader main framework same,
hard to tell but even the axle appears the same., get some numbers off it
hood and beside the starter

345 or 445. Check the big salvage yards for original loader arms, cylinders, and bucket. Last year a yard at Black Creek, WI, had a complete 345 with a fire damaged engine.

You don?t have to know anywhere near as much about diesels as gassers. You have to know enough to keep fuel, clean oil and filters and clean heavy
duty coolant in a diesel.
