Mystery part on '78 515 diesel

I came across this part that just lays on top of the valve cover. There was old grease holding it in place when i bought the tractor.

Looked on messicks for both the 1978 515 and the 1978 4600 but still have not found anything that looks like it. Can anyone ID it?

Interesting. I looked at that and I think there is one similar to that in a similar location on the intake that's why I figured that wasn't what it is but I've been wrong before.

Wonder why it says "Air Cleaner Restrictor, Except 335, 515"

I was just curious so I'll take your word for it and stop wondering.

No problem. That looks more like the diagram I had looked at for the 515.
