I bought mine a few months ago off Dallas Craigs, really nice, new rubber,new full length hd battery, no leaks, coolant clean, 900 verified hours, starts faster than you can get your finger off the switch, estate sale, $7500 and only about 50 miles away so I was able to kick the tires, and pick it up. Tickled with the price and the unit.......can't believe it happened...but it did.

If I could get that one for around $7500 I would buy it. You did good on yours!

It initially listed for $ 9k. In reading what was available about the ad, seems it had been listed for several months and the company responsible for dissolving the contents of the estate wanted it gone. So, when I accidentally picked up the ad, it was "price reduced" to $8500.

I called the company and arranged to meet the rep at the property the following day. Loaded my trailer, went by the bank and picked up a wad of money and headed out. I got there before he did and looked it over. He hadn't been there that day meaning it hadn't been run for at least 24 hours. He handed me the key and watched me climb aboard. I set the range selector to N, pushed in the clutch stuck the key in the ignition, rolled it to start and before I could even think to release the key it was running. With that I knew the compression was great, the fact that the clutch pedal still had OEM paint on it other than the center raised portion, brake pedals barely had paint off the nodules, ad had hours listed at 898 and when I hopped aboard they were up at 900ish so the proofmeter was working, drawbar and 3 pt showed no wear to speak of, I was ready to "haggle"....gotta haggle on used equipment...just makes the purchase worthwhile. Grin

I ran it a bit did some shifting and clutching, put it down to idle and looking down at him said something like "We can put it on that trailer for $7k.....he thought about it for a few seconds and said, "lowest I can go is $7500. I said, "Lets get it on the trailer".

Just absolutely amazed that I found exactly the tractor I had been looking for, in better shape than I expected to find, within trailering distance of my place for a super price.

For $7500, I would have bought that tractor in a heartbeat to keep my 871 company.
