861 fan shroud modification for replacement radiator?

So the replacement radiator looks great and bolts up with the existing fan shroud. The problem is the lower radiator hose won?t fit on where it
needs to fit between the shroud and the lower radiator spigot. It?s too tight. My first instinct is to cut a strip out of the shroud so I can fit the hose
down over the spigot. Is that the correct way to modify the original shroud to fit aftermarket radiator? I don?t have any place that can recore my
original radiator so I had to buy an aftermarket.

Who knows.

Aftermarket radiators are different and most (all?) do not fit properly.

You will need to improvise.

Rather than cutting the shroud I would cut the pipe back then splice in a short length of hose. I have done this using a polybutylene double barbed fitting as a connector.

Bought a new radiator for our Ford 3000. Turns out that 2 of the holes on the of the radiator weren't in the right spot, but the other 4 work.
