Dose anyone know where I can get a replacement padded seat
pan like the original for a Ford 4000 4cylinder rest o ride seat?
I think that it was only used on 63-64 models

The Rest-O-Ride seat came out in 1955. All of the seat pans are identical.

Lots of folks throw Rest-O-Ride seats away because they are time consuming and expensive to rebuild so you should be able to find a junked sear with patience if you have connections. I've gotten 3 or 4 free, rebuilt all, and installed them on my vintage Ford tractors that have spring pan seats. I have one on my 52 8N.

If you have the time and inclination, a properly rebuilt Rest-O-Ride seat, though not an air cushion seat, is a not a bad seat. It beats the heck out of a spring pan seat.

Maybe it was aftermarket . . . but I've seen a padded seat pan on an early 000 rest-o-ride. I tend to think, though, that it was factory on the early 000s.

Wasn't aftermarket! C3NN400E was the part # for the seat pan for the early 000s. Shows NLS on NH website. C5NN400AE is the seat pan shown for an NAA. NAA does not even show to have had a rest-o-ride option. The steel seat pan for the rest-o-ride is not called out anywhere on NH website that I can see.

It is quite evident, however, that not all seat pans for the r-o-r were identical, Dean.
