Ford 7200 Hood Decals

I'm restoring a 7200 for a friend and have some questions about the hood decals. It seems like the set that I've purchased is a bit too short in both the main hood section and the console. I've bought two sets from different vendors (1 from George Bradish), however they both look to be exactly the same.

The hood decals are close to 1/2" short overall, so they would leave gaps at each end where you would see the paint between the decals on the hood, console, and radiator shell. From what I can see looking at photos online of other 7200's, I don't see this gap.

On the console, the issue is that the decal is not long enough for the white stripe to go onto the body line. However, from what I can see in my before photos, the previous decal was the same, so I'm OK to go with this. However, the gap with the hood decal bugs me.

Has anyone else seen this as well? Is this just the way they are, so I should get over it and just put them on?

Thanks - David

Have used 100's of aftermarket decals and they are all off. usually they give you more than enough so you can trim to fit.
