What is it? one more time

This part was under the left rear axle of a 801. Can anyone tell me what it is for? Has some special nuts for it. It needs a new home soon or it goes when next scrap load happens, much as I hate to.

That bracket doesn't look like any thing I remember of the early mounted mowers, but I am wandering about the special mount for a one row semi-mounted corn picker. Maybe??

I'd have to check the Dearborn MPC's or you can at the *N*-*T*-*C* site in the MANUALS forum. I don't think it's for a mower, my guess is possibly for a loader. The angle iron brackets under the fenders are the aftermarket stabilizer bar brackets. The OEM DEARBORN stabilizer bar brackets are cast steel and look like this:

Tim the angle iron brackets under the fenders of my 881 above are the mounting brackets for my 601 side mount corn picker.

Looked up the bracket for a Dearborn mower and it does appear to be different.

It could be a mounting bracket for an old pipe frame loader, I've only seen 2 and didn't look to see how they attached at the axles

I do not know what it is for, but what does the end of it look like?
Left side in your first pic, right end in the second.
If it were the break-away for a mower, wouldn't it be on the right
side? I have one of those mowers but haven't hooked it up in years.

Not any picker mounts that I've seen.
These are the picker mounts on my 881.
Look like big pieces of angle iron under each fender.

Destroked, thanks for posting the picture. I thought the same brackets on mine were for stabilizer mounts. But I was only guessing what they were for. Mine had two on the left, and only one on the right side.

Guess I don't need them back on. I'll be brush hogging mostly, and some blade work, no corn.

Thanks, Pat

I meant to say; It had two pins on the right, and only one pin on the left, on each angle bracket.

Thanks, Pat

Your's are stabilizer brackets.
Notice on mine how they stick back farther and are bigger, don't know why the previous owner put that pin in the right side unless it was part of the hitch for the Dearborn mower or Ford 515 mower he had.
The top link attachment for the Dearborn mower is still on the tractor
