Hey all,
Finally getting my project 3400 near finished. I have to run a couple hydraulic lines for the backhoe still but then I'll be ready to fill up the hydraulic reservoir and try it out. My question is, where is the filter for the backhoe and FEL hydraulic fluid located?
This tractor, FEL and backhoe sat disconnected with the hydraulic line fittings open to the elements so I'm sure there is junk in the lines and reservoir that I don't want going into the pump and valves. It seems the suction line goes straight from the reservoir to the pump, so that worries me a little bit. Its a 3400 tractor with a 713 backhoe and a FEL that I cannot find an ID tag on.
Also, where is the port to fill up the hydraulic reservoir? I see a "T" fitting that that has a cap on it underneath the valve. Is this the fill port? That is the highest point i see that is plumbed into the reservoir/frame. Do I fill it up completely or is there a certain amount that I should put in?
