I got my old leaking radiator off and am waiting for the new one to get here. I got a new water pump coming too cause I figured I might as well replace that too and a new thermostat and am going to replace the belts as well. I?d like to flush the engine and drain any coolant in the engine but not sure how? I?ve read here people used vinegar. Can someone elaborate on how to do that? Thank you again!

Bingo.

If it has ever had a FEL on it the front axle pivot pin will be worn, and the front axle support may be as well. Even without a FEL, it may well be.

Now is the time to repair it.

I would inspect wiring, lights, and steering box. It's much easier to add lube to the steering box (or rebuild the PS control valve) with the hood off.

When you replace the T-stat be sure that you have it seated properly in the groove before tightening the bolts. Inspect the fan closely for cracks. Check the headlight bolts for tightness.
