Tractor would not start, so I pecked on the solenoid and
it fired right up. I tried it two more times and all was
ok.
Is it time to replace, or just wait till this one completely
dies?
Thanks

I've had a few go bad, so not a bad thing to have a spare but I
would be more inclined to make sure the battery is fully charged
and that all the connections are clean and tight, and use it.

agree with Royse. Many times a slightly discharged battery will make the relay contacts arcweld.

Get all the contacts cleaned and battery charged and 'watch' it.

If it keeps doing it, then spend money.

Far and away the most common cause of your problem is that "positively clean" cable or wire connections are not clean. It happened to me last spring.
