I'm working on my '63 4000.
I was going to put my hydraulic pump back onto my engine, and was looking at the drive gear. How much slop should there be with the drive gear. I "Unfortunately" think, mine is bad. I can move it, by turning it back & forth on the shaft, and wobble it side to side some also. It's a piston pump.
I would like you to tell me that, that is normal, BUT, I don't think your going to. It's been par for this tractor.
Remember me saying, Every bolt I remove, it's holding something that needs to be repaired, or replaced. I still have bolts that I have not removed yet. LOL I want to cry, but my mother told me that never helps anything. When ever I cry, my wife asks me "how much is it going to cost"
Thanks, Pat
