Ford 7000 w/Load Monitor - Top Cover Tools and Rigging

Have overhauled the top cover, new cross shaft, rebuilt the lift cylinder, now at rig stage to check / adjust all the linkages. Most have not been disturbed, but I want to be sure everything is good when I put the cover back on. The book shows 3 tools needed, I have Googled, phoned several NH dealers, but no luck with 2 of the tools, which are unique to the Load Monitor equipped tractors. If anyone can help me find these, either to buy, or get dimensions to make copies, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

First tool is SW-862-A, Ford tool number 1323, Alternate tool number SW25. This clamps to the corner of the top cover, and registers the strut position. See pictures below.

The second tool is SW862-B, Ford tool number 1324, alternate tool number SW26. This is an "L" shaped tool to register the control rod and roller. See pictures below.

Your best bet is that someone who works at a dealership will have these laying around in some bottom drawer somewhere and take them out and
get some dimensions or you. I would think most dealers have either lost them, or thrown them out by now. I know the dealer I worked for 20
years ago had them, and they may still do, but they'd be hard to find underneath all of the other tools they've had to purchase over the
years.

All that said, do you even use load monitor? Most people don't know how to use it, or even understand what it does. If you never use it, I
doubt leaving the linkage as is will affect anything.

Thanks Bern. I agree about Load Monitor, I don't use it either. However, rigging of the linkages in the top cover are interlinked with the strut that goes to the LM fork, so correct settings can't be achieved unless the strut position is fixed relative to the cover - hence the need for the tools. Its different in the non LM 5/7000. None of the dealers I called so far have the tools, so I'm hoping someone on the forum might be able to help.
Thanks for your reply.
Tom.

IIRC, the LM cam is hinged on the main selector linkage. The Draft/Position selector can be adjusted independant of the LM quadrant even though they are attached. All that positioning tool is really there to do is set the length of the connecting rod. So I'd just leave it alone or tweak it's response after you reinstall the lift cover. The main things you need to set can be done with a digital caliper and a straight edge.
