Trying to remove cast steel exhaust/elbow from muffler

It's an original Ford muffler from my 841 diesel and it looks like it will fit perfectly, lengthwise, on my Jubilee. I've tried the medium heat wrench MAPP gas, and wax trick to no avail. Might have to break out the Oxy Acet torch. That sucker really rusted on there.

Edit: Got it finally with the Oxy/Acet torch that thing is like a precision fit! At least with the rust.

Am not sure what you are trying to accomplish, but an 841 exhaust and a Jubilee exhaust are of two different sizes! at least from the factory!

Well, the new old muffler was in my pile of Ford tractor parts so it might have come off a 640, an 850 or an 851. Anyway, it fit nicely and I just had a new 90 degree downpipe made to clear the alternator. SSSSSSSSOOOOOOOO much more quiet than the old burned out glasspack that was on it. Made a nice heavy bracket to support the front of the muffler so that later I can put on a stack with flapper. Not happy with how the bracket only grabbed one of the U-bolt legs so I will make another.
