What are these for?

Can you tell me what purpose do these serve?

Thanks, Pat

They hold the lynch pins when you don't have an implement on the 3-point. Earlier Fords attached the pins to the lower arms with a short chain, but later tractors used those little doohickeys

That was a quick reply, Thanks. That is what I had an idea they were for, I just didn't know for sure.

Now I know.

Thanks, Pat

They look like simple cable crimp terminals. Pretty good idea. I might put some on my old 3000. My Supper 55 had a little tin bracket on the lift arms for stowing the pins.

(quoted from post at 07:39:47 10/19/18) Your gold demo looks a lot like mine.

Sorry if it's your picture. I do not know where I got it. It's the first picture I came across that showed them. They are already removed in all the pictures of mine.

My tractor is all apart right now. And I have been going to ask about them since last summer. I just remembered it, today when I'm at my pc. usually I don't remember things, when I'm at it. Everything around my pc is covered with yellow post-it notes, to remind me of things. doesn't help much! LOL

This is the best I can do for a picture. It's just before I pulled the engine, to check the cam. I had pulled everything off before that to paint it, then I found I had a bad cam.

This is how it's been for a while now. But, I just got the new engine gaskets today, to put it all back together again!

No need to say your sorry. When I post photos of my tractors they are for all to share. Your rear is for a later model. The bolt size will be different. Another
option for you is to mount them on the fenders. My 900 row crop has them there.

(quoted from post at 21:47:25 10/19/18) I bet with that seat that things rides like a buckboard........

I have been working on it on, & off since last fall, when I bought it, trying to get it running. So, I don't know how it rides. ;(

But, I am finally putting it back together as of today. :)

Thanks,
I have them, I pulled them off to clean behind them, as I have with most thins on it. I have been pulling everything off, and fixing everything the PO did to it, and painting behind as I work on it. I had to stop painting on it. My house had some major issues that needed fixing, and that &%# dozer I worked on. But I'm done with them, and back to playing with my tractor.

I have a box of new parts, and gaskets to install. It seems like every time I pull something off, it's messed up, broke, worn out, or just been temporarily been rigged to work (farmered).

I have just about everything repaired. I am going out today, and start painting, and putting the engine back together, Finally! Now that the weather is turning. Arrr.

Thanks, Pat

I was joking about the wagon wheel.....

LOL, That went right over my head. I see that wheel so much, that I don't see it any more.

It's suppose to lean against the front of the house. I had set it, there a while ago, on to the tractor when mowing. Then to the top of my well house, when I pulled the engine off the tractor, then moved it back onto the tractor, so I could put something else on top of the well house. I just keep forgetting to put it back. I think I have mowed 3-4-5.......? times since then. I guess I'll put it back, now that you brought it to my attention. :)

The wife will be happy I did. When I do.
