I am trying to mount hood and grill on my 861. Recently removed the 702 loader and have a feeling I'm missing a bracket or have wrong plate on bottom under radiator. Anyone have any pictures that may help out?

There are two mounting holes in the front axle-radiator support. 601 hoods mount in low hole, 801 hoods mount in top hole. I think that might be the problem. You can put some cardboard or rubber pieces on top of the tank so your hood doesn't slide around while you are tring to mount it.

Spaiser, welcome to the forum - Glad to have you!!

In addition to the excellent advice RRR gave you, perhaps a parts diagram will help?

To start, thank you for the quick responses.
Im going to try to post a few pics to show you what im looking at. I have the right and left sides and grill. I believe im missing the lower grill. Holes do not line up between hood and lower radiator mount.

Trying to upload pictures but its keeps telling me the body contains words or phases associated with spam. Ideas? Sorry, I dont want to be "that guy"

Number 20 in Dollar Bill's pic is for row crop only tractors. Does your hood have the longer type that are curved at the bottom? There is another panel for the bottom under the grill. You can google 861 Ford tractor specs and you will see pics of them. Your radiator-axle support isn't bent out of alignment is it?

I dont believe it is bent. There is one square hole and one large round hole. Neither seem to line up with the lower radiator mount. Having difficulty trying attach a photo which im sure would help.

Ive been trying to upload a couple of photos for a week now with no luck. Are there any brackets that attach hood to lower radiator mount, or do they mount directly?

Finally was able to upload some pics. The large plate on the bottom of radiator mount im assuming is associated with the loader that was on the tractor. When I attempted to remove it, the radiator mount fell. I will attach another pic of radiator mount which im assuming the weld let go?
Thanks again for any help.

The radiator bracket in pic. When plate is removed, the forward piece (arrow) falls away from main.
