I have a Ford 1841 industrial tractor that has a steering issue, it chatters as I turn the wheel. I broke the steering column down and found that the actuator wheel and the cable are worn. I plan on turning the cable around so that the cable wouldn't be as worn, however, can't do that with the actuator wheel. I'm unable to locate a wheel so I'm out of luck that way. HOWEVER, here is a bolt going into the housing where the cable is at. It looks like it might be a tensioner for the cable onto the actuator wheel. There in nothing in my manual showing this bolt or even talks about it. Does anybody know what this bolt is for. If it is a tensioner would you know how much tension is to be placed on it.
