1854 Ford NAA Remote Hydraulic Valve

I've got a Ford NAA that I've added a Dearborn Front End Loader to.

The tractor has a remote Hydraulic valve.

I can't get the handle of the valve to move in either direction .

Has anyone else had this happen before?

I'm guessing the valve is frozen up, but thought I'd ask on here before I take it apart.

Anyone have pics of the remote valve apart?

I tried attaching an image to show the valve, the site won't let me.

There's a thread titled "Remote hydraulics - NAA - 600" that show the exact same valve.

I tried showing that image, not allowed.

Rich, I've updated your username so you can post photos now. New user status had restrictions on it.

Thank You.

The remote hydraulic valve that I have is one like this.

The handle is to the right side of the valve instead of the left, but otherwise it looks identical.

Loosen the two bolts that hold the valve to the lift chest. If they are too tight it will actually squeeze the valve body. BTDT

I took the valve apart and it was slugged up with some mild rust that had the slide (spool?) stuck in place.

I cleaned everything and sanded any surface rust away and put it back together with new o-rings.

I reinstalled the valve and everything works fine now.

I know have a working front end loader. WooHoo! :D

I still need to replace the hydraulic hoses, they have serious surface cracks but aren't leaking (for now).
