That "4000" is really a 971. It's a non-runner and he's asking $500.00 so it's a gamble.

The county looks like a beast. It looks like it was built off of an 8000. Again, it's a non-runner and he's asking $4000.00, so even more of a gamble if you can't test the 4WD and other things because the engine doesn't run.

Agreed, but there's enough there that if it were close to me I'd gamble.
Looks to be the correct RC drawbar, power steering, wide front axle.
Manifold, carb, muffler all still in place to keep contaminants out.
Still 6V so it apparently didn't have a low compression starting problem.
A gamble for sure, but might be worth it. On the other hand,
I'd hate to think of what it would cost to "restore" it!

There's enough there that the parts out weigh the whole tractor with everything Royse said and the hydraulic valve and correct sway bars might be something of interest. And it is within striking distance. I have quite a bit on my plate right now but still something to think about.

It has the engine of an 8000/8600, but the transmission and rear end is more like a 7000. County used their own differential, which
was heavier than the Ford version for that size rear end. I would say that is quite reasonable, given what they can bring when
operational. Too far away for me.
