Trying to find out what is causing oil to come up out of the small under the starter button.

Tube under the starter button has me confused.

I Think maybe he's talking about the capillary tube to the oil pressure gauge?

I believe that goes down into the transmission for the neutral.

Is there a seal?

Oops, he has a 861. Thinking where MY starter button is on a 871.

The 861 starter button has a gasket between the button and the transmission top. Or what are we referring too????? I have also had the starter button apart. There is an o-ring inside the button that theoretically could leak .At least there is enough oil leakage and dust gets up inside the button, eventually, to make it inoperable

How much oil? Seepage or lots.

Check the transmission and hydraulic sump levels.
