My 5000 tractor is having pto problems, you have to rev up the engine for it to work or for the brake to work and when it gets hot or after using it for awhile it just
worse, just using it on the balewagon all it does is turn the hydraulic pump on the balewagon,Im thinking it is the pump,it has been awhile since we used the lift or the
remotes but last time they were working good, and the pto was acting this way,Is there anything else I can check before buying a pump? Thanks

Suspect a leak in your Dual Power if your tractor has it. If not, then likely a worn PTO clutch support and/or internal seals. Pump would be the last thing I'd suspect.

The green arrows show all of the places that PTO engagement oil pressure could leak. With the top cover removed and the main hydraulic pump flow bypassed, you can run the engine and observe 2 out of the 4 leak points with the engine running and the PTO on. The 2 clutch piston seals can only be checked either visually after disassembly, or else with compressed air when you have the clutch pack on the bench.
