172 Diesel broken rocker arms!

Ford 172 Diesel broke two rocker arms, #1 and #4 Cylinders. Engine was running perfect , then started to miss . removed valve cover and arms are
broken

Any Ideas, beside age??

Only thing I can think of is stripping a timing gear or something going through the engine.
I have an incomplete set it you need a couple.

Two at the same time on different cylinders cannot be a coincidence in my mind. I'm going to guess that something has thrown off the valve timing somehow, and that some valves kissed the pistons. I don't think I'd run it any more until you can sort this one out.

I would be interested in purchasing those, The engine still runs, I had rebuilt the engine, New valves, valve seats. New Push rods, rings, bearings, Timing Gear and cam Gear.

It wouldn't run when I originally go it. It had bent push rods due to Frozen Valves. I am wondering if that weakened the arms, because those that broke are the ones that had bent Push rods.

I am amazed the engine will run on just two cylinders.
