I got home from work today and found this
on my trailer in my yard.
Must be the tractor fairies came.
Alas...
Kenny borrowed my PHD a few months ago and
brought it back today - on his 841D-S.
I'm bringing it up north tomorrow and will
store it for him for the winter.
The poor thing has to sit outside though.
No more room inside.
I do have a piece of Tyvek and some rope
and will at least half fast cover it for
him.
This is a little sweetheart. Reman engine.
Fresh pump and injectors. I painted it
I kinda wish I had more bush hogging to do
as I'd hook this up to my mower. I've
puttered around on it a lot but never
really got to work it hard. These 4
cylinder engines are just so smooth
compared to the 3 hole Fords I'm used to.
So I just had a thought here:
How about if I take a poll?
If possession is 9/10 of the law, by rights
I should get to keep this tractor shouldn't
I?
I'll read this to him in a day or two and
tell him what you guys say.
Don't get queasy on me now fellas. I really
do like this little Ford :)

I was going to ask if that was the one Ken bought near Birchwood (? I think that's where it was) when you guys stopped in for a visit... but that wasn't nearly that long ago.
Those 801's are pretty tractors...and they are smoother than a 201 diesel... but you'll never get me to trade one for my 4600. Guess I look at it too much from a work perspective.
As to possession, um... what tractor? Just your 4200 and 3000 mutt up there, right?

You can keep it in one of my sheds, beats outside with a cover. I'll even let you come out and do some brush-hogging that I have to do yet... :)

Can you believe I had the police tell me that one time. I wont get into details, they are pretty much unbelievable unless you wear my boots. What really matters is that 10%. You own it or you dont. Oh yea, had someone else tell me they arent lawyers.

Nice looking 801, possession is 9/10 but since he's a friend possession is 9.5/10.
Just kidding, but I did have to run out to the shop to make sure my old Ford digger was still hooked to the 4000SU.
I just got the pto release pin freed up this afternoon so I can use it.

I wish that I had even one tractor fairy as do you.

Looks to me like it's yours.

If you don't want it to set outside over the winter, it's already on the trailer, so bring it down and I'll keep it inside. Of course, possession is 9/10 of the law so it may end up being mine....

That said, despite no live PTO, that 941D with Sherman will work your 3000 to death and then some.

I have an empty trailer if Kenny wants to drop some off at my place!
Might even find room for them indoors if he doesn't bring "too" many.

Great looking tractor. I'd love to have it. It would be hard to find another. Finding another friend like Kenny even harder.....But it is in your yard and you could keep it till he gets angry. I'm just saying.

You know what they say "Out of site out of Mind".

Park it somewhere out of plain site. Talk about the weather and wife but not the tractors. Just maybe he'll forget it for a while and you deny that it was ever there or that someone stole the trailer not knowing his tractor was even on it. Sometime in future ask to borrow back the PHD that he never returned.

I'm pretty confident you couldn't or wouldn't do that but it would be a good chuckle amongst friends. I have an 861 that I'm very fond of and surely would never get misplaced. :)
