The injector pump on my 3600 is leaking badly and I want to put a new pump on it, but can't find the correct Ford part # for the pump. The leaking pump is a cav with the numbers 3233f631 on the pump. All info I can find shows the correct Ford part # to be d6nn9a543j, which has a cav # of 3233f380. Can anyone tell me if the cav # of 3233f380 is the same pump as the 3233f631?Thanks roadpacker :? I forgot to ad that the tractor is a 1979 , model ca212b

I have considered having mine rebuilt, but a rebuild costs $605.00 and I have to remove my pump and take it to Birmingham to the shop, which is from what I have been told, an excellent pump repair shop. I then have to make another 90 mile round trip to get it. I thought that since I would have to remove and replace it, why not get another pump and eliminate the long drives on a screwed up I 65.

You don't have UPS, FedEx, or even USPS? Unless you're in a [i:d9cffef8fd]VERY[/i:d9cffef8fd] remote area, I'd bet there are businesses close to you that make that drive everyday that would probably haul it for you, like a trucking or heavy equipment company that deals with that pump shop.

I am south, in Chilton Co.The local NAPA store will ship and receive it for me, but after adding shipping both ways, the total cost will exceed the cost of a new pump. Just looking for the fastest and least expensive way to repair the leak. A few years ago I had the same problem with my 2600 and I had the pump pulled and sent off for repair. After 3 or 4 weeks the repaired pump was put back on and still leaked- not as bad as it was, but enough to have to re-lick that cat with another repair bill.

Send it to Dieseltech and let him look at it, if it's rebuildable for 3-400 you'll still save $ even with shipping cost. It'll fit in one of those USPS flat rate boxes, shipping should cost would be around $20 each way.
If it's going to need major parts he'll let you know, then you can decide on fixing it or getting a new one.

Thanks Destroked for the reply.I emailed Dieselteck and received a reply back today. I will call him tomorrow after I check out another lead here locally. I really appreciate the input that all you guys have given. This is a very proactive forum. It's great to ask a question and receive a response the same day. I have posted on other sites and would forget what I posted about before I would ever get a reply to my question.
