ford 1720 steers hard

looking at a 1720 today nice tractor only issue in power steering ,, steers fine a start but after 20min or so steers real hard looks like full of oil thanks cdv

The power steering reservoiron the 1720 is also the filter. changing that would be the first step/

The reservoir for the power steering is also the filter, and has probably NEVER been changed, so all the gunk for 20 + years has been going around and around and has worn your pump. Change the filter/reservoir and put in fresh oil (New Holland 134D, or GOOD hydraulic/transmission fluid) and see if that helps. It DOES NOT take automotive power steering fluid.
