Folks, here we have a rare Ford 740 with four speed transmission, live power and spin out rims.

Well, it does have a single front wheel.

Not associated in any way.

A new power steering cylinder rod is an expensive repair. Other than that it appears to be an excellent job.

I've only ever seen one other four speed with live (two stage clutch) PTO. It was what in GM would be called a COPO (corporate office production order) meaning somebody in the Glass House (Ford World Headquarters in Dearborn) told the plant to build it that way, as it wasn't an RPO (regular production option).

(quoted from post at 01:15:48 09/28/18) Don't see any spin out rims. Appear to be just 6 loop.
either do I , nor anything indicating a PS cylinder problem?

JMOR, look at the rod just outside of the cylinder.

That's the point of my tongue-in-cheek post, folks.

It's a four speed and cannot have live power (no, there is no Sherman live PTO), and it does NOT have spin out rims.

It is the one from Kentucky. Good friend of mine went and
looked at it last week thinking about buying it but said it had a
lot of small issues like chipped paint and the tires had sat flat
for a long time and were cracked bad where they were
wrinkled. He passed on it. He was wanting it because he has
a narrow front 740 and a 740-5 factory wide front. He wanted
the 740-1 single front to finish the line up.
