Ford 641 brake adjustments

I recently had my rear tires off, and did some brake work. Now there is an adjustment hole to use while tires are on . My question is which way to extend the size?

I think they go opposite depending which side your on. Go up and mash one of the pedals and give that side a few turns, then check and see if the pedal came up a little, if not, go the other way with it. It might start moving up ar down as you adjust if you watch it.
