Ford 3000 transmission or clutch issues

Recently we got our 1966 Ford gas 3000 with 8 speed tranny and live pto running again and went to go Woods mowing with the tractor and realized that the tractor had no pto, so I moved the tractor into the driveway and thought I adjusted the clutch by pulling the clutch release arm all the way, then I turned the clevis in (towards the clutch petal) between two or four threads and then reattached everything and then found out that only the pto works and I have no forward or reverse in any gear. Did I make the clutch too tight because pushing down on the clutch now is a lot harder? On our tractor, the tractor is missing the screw and lock nut and at one point it looks like that the clutch release arm broke and someone re-wielded it. When we installed a new clutch we didn't think of adding the screw or replacing the the clutch release arm. The clutch also has less that three hundred hours on the clutch (the clutch was installed near the beginning of Nov 2015.

yes,, its too far..

should be a double clutch.. and the pin on the double holes SHOULD be in the position that make the clutch pedal at its highest... to use both clutches... pto and transmission... when not using the pto, the pin can be moved back to the lower pedal position, to lower the pedal, making the tractor much easier to operate.. When the pin IS in the lower position, the clutch will only disengage the transmission, and not go far enough to disengage the pto. The owners manual will give you lots of info on that tractor and maintenance.
