Hey every one. I am just starting out with tractors as my neighbor has a few. He is knowledgable but I am now tasked with finding the correct attachment as I am internet inclined. He has never had a backhoe attachment for his 1969 Ford 3000 diesel tractor. This is what I am trying to find. He cant dig and my back is no longer ok and I have lots to do as I am just getting started working my land.

How can I find the correct attachment online? I want something used as I cant afford $12,000 for a backhoe attachment. Any one know specific models for the Ford 3000 tractors? I will take new or old as long as it works one way or another.

Tractors in top shape and I have lots of trenches and water features to dig. Need this to work so any info will help. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply!

How do I know which ones are compatible?
I am totally green here but I am good at putting 2 and 2 together. Any more information on how to choose the right one that will fit the tractor would be much appreciated. Maybe even an ebay link to one that works for the tractor if you are feeling generous.
Like I said I am totally green and my neighbor knows the mechanics of what he has. I am learning bit by bit while helping him but we are both not knowing whats what with the backhoe

attachment.
Thanks again for the help. I will look into the FHM backhoe on ebay and see what I can find in the meantime.

There are new FHM backhoes listed on Ebay for less than $4000 shipped.

Today's Featured Article - Product Review: Electronic Ignition - by Staff. Oil, for example has come a long way in the last 50 years and I don't use anything but the latest API grade available. I've heard the arguments for non-detergent oils but would never trade it for today's formulations. Paint is another, the modern acrylic enamels are great for resistance to grease and fuel stains, retaining their shine and they last forever; unlike enamels and lacquers . Still another is the alternator. No doubt using the original generator keeps the tractor pure, but for thos ... [Read Article]
