Fuel shutoff

Any suggestion on how to install a in line fuel shutoff? I bought a 1/4" shut off valve but the fittings are not 7/16-24. I could use rubber hose but I fear for melting and fire hazard as close as it is to exhaust.

Take it to the autoparts store and get NPT to flare brass adapters. Position the valve before you tighten the flare fittings. Dont overtighten, just enough so it doesnt leak.

What would be the fitting sizes? It's hard because I went today and it seems like brass and steel fitting sizes don't fit/wrong threads.

Just use rubber hose and secure it where it can't stray.

Don’t know what you’re working on but this is what I came up with for my NAA.
It’s not to purty but it works. I had a hard time with the tank shutoff until I had my rotator cuffs rebuilt. I know what you mean about the fitting sizes. I think i used a conglomerate of hydraulic fittings. Things just kinda Creep on me. Per
showcrop.
