I have a 1983 Ford 5610 with Cab and MWFD and loader. Recently I had a shop put on a new power steering pump. At the time I was told the pump that was on it was the wrong one as it had too high of pressures which is what caused the side of the steering column to break or burst. So we went with the smaller pump but not the issue is it’s hard to turn and physically won’t turn front wheels at a stand still. Can anyone confirm the correct part number for me?

Should be the first choice listed at the link below. That said, even the correct pump won't be up to the task. That steering system was never designed for big front tires and loaders, which is why Ford changed those models over to hydrostat steering in 1985.
