my '78 3600 has a dual remote under the seat. the one pair of hoses goes to the dunham-lehr 22 loader, which has it's own pair of operating valves.

can someone please tell me what the valve positions of the 2 handles are supposed to do? does one handle operate one pair of remotes, and the other valve operates the other pair? or is it one valve for supply and one valve for return??

(to date, i have always placed both valves forward for loader use, and center for 3ph arm use)

The loader already has a valve on it, why would one want to change it and tie up both of the remotes.

The other valve is already tied up when using the FEL.

See below.

Your dual spool TISCO valve can control two circuits.

Why not just use one spool for the FEL lift and the other for the FEL bucket?

You asked this question . . . or one dang near like it . . . two weeks ago.
Did you not read the replies then?

You are correct - one handle for each pair of remote couplers.

Each handle has 3 positions: the center is neutral, where no oil should flow. Pull back for raise, and push forward two notches (through neutral) for lower. Of course, "raise" and "lower" assume you have the hoses properly plumbed in the couplers. In other words, the action will be backwards if the hoses are attached backwards.

Be advised that if you're flowing oil through your loader valve with one remote, the other one will not function. In an open center system, oil will take the path of least resistance, which is your loader valve if it's flowing.

Today's Featured Article - Recollections of a John Deere GP - by Charlie Cook. I grew up on my dad's 280 acre general farm in Western Michigan. Dad's only tractor when I was very young was the old GP. My first recollection of this tractor was when dad allowed my brother and myself to ride on the tractor with him driving. One of us would sit on the left fender (away from the clutch) and other would sit on the gas tank and hold onto the crankcase breather pipe. ... [Read Article]
