Hey Gents,
I have an older diesel 3400 and have have a few clutch related questions.
1. There's a grease cup on the bell housing you turn and it forces lube to where? What grease should be in it? How much and how often does one turn it?
2. If I pull the steering box is there a cutout in the top of the bell housing that would allow me to inspect the pressure plate.
3. The tractor sat for months and I've lost what I consider normal clutch pedal travel. I use to have a little free play and then spring resistance of the pressure plate until the disc was free and disengaged.
Now I have almost all free play then 1" of travel with the throwout bearing against the pressure plate and that takes me from full engaged to disengaged.
Any suggestions other than splitting it and replacing the clutch??
