Replacement coils

Hi all,

Looking for good replacement coils for a 1954 6v NAA and a 1966 4000 12v. Not liking the looks of the ones in the tune up kits.

I've never seen a tune up kit that came with a coil. About your
only option is an auto parts store. Here we only have NAPA and
Carquest. NAPA usually takes three to get a good coil. Carquest is
one or two coils to get a good one.

ow I beat the "cheap Chinee junk": My reserve coil 'stock' all came from older Chevy, Ford, IH, VW, Datsun, etc. of a minimum age of 30 years......they are all good!

for both applications, if stock, a NAPA IC8 / Standard ignition UC 14 should be a 6v coil.

the 4000 should have resistor wire in it's wire harness.
