Welp, I was finally in the right place at the right time. Local feller placed an FB add yesterday morning early and I was on it like a Dog on a bone. Wasn't 2 miles away and I was over there in a flash. He said it ran when he parked it, uhuh, three years ago. Good rubber but funky looking 15" automotive rims on front but tri rib tires. Sheet metal is beat up as it came off of an Arizona ranch and spent some time in the back country. Ordered a couple manuals this morning and started cleaning, lubricating and checking it out. I grew up on an 8N and am a retired master mechanic so here we go on a new project. Might be checking in with questions once I get a little farther into it.

I buy non-running tractors all the time. Most are winched on and then driven off the trailer. Most of the time it is a simple points clean up and gap and a carb cleaning. Have a Case VAC I got last summer that I payed $300 for and it was about 3 miles from me and I winched it on and drove it off the trailer less then an hour after I got it home

It was close enough I drug it home flushed some clean gas through it. Robbed a battery out of my Jeep and got it fired up. It's been converted to 12V but pretty rough looking. Lots of cobbling done all over so that all need cleaning up. Not looking to restore it, just want a good functional tractor to keep my place scraped off. This is desert so we don't need to mow.
