I'm purchasing a 54 jubilee. It has pie wts and the seat like ones I see on the 800. Was these two items an option in 54 or were they put on afterwards? Also it has the drawbar like the 800's. I thought jubilees had the drawbar like the 8n's with the roller on them. Thank for the help. Ed

Old,

The hundred series had minor changes from year to year while they were produced but they were still all hundred series models. Is a 1956 850 not an 850 because it doesn't have the same flat foot boards as the '55 850? The NAA model was made for two years, and since the first year they made them was Ford's 50th Anniversary year, they also gave the ones made in that year a marketing name of "Golden Jubilee", but that doesn't mean that they weren't NAA tractors.

The Ford tractors made in the 1953 and 1954 model years were all officially the NAA model, or the NAB model if it had the kerosene engine). In 1953 they called it the "Golden Jubilee Tractor" for marketing purposes because of the 50th anniversary of the Ford Motor Company, not the 50th anniversary of making tractors. They didn't start making tractors (under the Fordson name) until about 10 years after the Ford Motor Company was incorporated.

You cannot find any tractor in the parts lookup site called a Jubilee or Golden Jubilee. You can, however, find the NAA and NAB, both of which were made in 1953 & 1954.

As far as I understand, after ford broke with ferguson, they were sued for patent infringement over the 8n. Ford came out with the NAA shortly after. The first year of production of the NAA was called the golden jubilee in honor of their anniversary of making tractors. The ones after that were just NAA's but were the same tractor, with various improvements along the way, same as any other tractor.

Both Models are NAAs . The Golden Jubilee says so in the hood emblem. If it doesn't say so, it is not a Jubilee. The SN brake is 77XXX. Other than the hood emblem the two models are exactly the same.

I thought they were both NAA's. One was a Golden Jubilee and the other was just plain jubilee.. Am I wrong?

Yes they are 99% the same but the 1953 Jubilee is just that and the 1954 is the NAA. Year made the hood emblem make them different so different models ya a small difference but it is still a difference

The early version of the rest-o- ride seat was an option on the NAAs, Later versions of the rest-o-ride seat came on the 100 series, standard on the 8 & 900s..The 8N version drawbar was standard on all NAA 6,7,8,900s until the 1956 year model. The center housing mounted drawbar came standard 1n 1957. There was a swinging drawbar version" with a roller", available for the 8N drawbar. The two were not interchangeable.

Don't think the pie weights were introduced until the hundred series. Seat and drawbar probably put on after.

First off the Jubilee was a 1953 and the NAA a 1954. Almost the same but has at least one or 2 things different.
As for weights if I remember right those where options. Also th draw bar could be an option or after market. The under rear end draw bar first came out on the 8N

Yes no and sort of. The Jubilee was the Jubilees and was not 100% the same as the NAA. Ya 99% of it is but still not the same 100% and was made i n1953 and the NAA in 1954. So NOT the same never was and never will be even the owners manual for the 2 are not the same I know I had both but let the Jubilees manual go with the Jubilee when I sold it

Sean in Pa has answered this absolutely correct! If you wouldnt be so bullheaded you would read it closely and learn something. You have been feeding people full of bad information for years. Get over it.
