This message is a reply to an archived post by Kelly Jewell KY on June 25, 2008 at 12:03:02.
The original subject was "Re: Ford 800 exhaust system".

I am restoring an 800. I want to install a vertical exhaust, and I think the part I need might me available from Kelly Jewell. According to an older blog. I would like to purchase this part. If anyone has any info for me that would be great. I am also looking for the 2 hinge parts that mount to the hood side panel. Those parts would complete this project.

What part of the exhaust are you looking for?

YT sells many of them here.

They also sell hood parts, although I didn't see the hinges listed.

Might be worth a call to see if they can provide them.

I called the local Ford New Holland dealer and they said part# NAA-55237-A was unavailable. I just bought a setup for vertical exhaust from an outfit called Thourmore in Missouri. 800-527-9954. Ask for Dave.

The OEM vertical exhaust for vintage 6/8** Ford tractors does not attach to the hood in any way.

Hood hinges are available from Dennis Carpenter and likely others.

Today's Featured Article - Antique Tractor Wiring Basics - by Curtis von Fange. One of the most neglected parts of old tractors is the wiring. After sitting in the elements for half a century or more much equipment wiring has deteriorated to sparsely covered strands of copper or other metal. Plastic insulation has cracked, mice have eaten through the older clothed style coverings and the exposed wires have reacted to winter moisture and salts by turning blue and powdery. Terminal ends have corroded, rusted or just plain evaporated away. Aged wires not only keep an engin ... [Read Article]
