Ok, I am restoring an 851 ford, There were no lift arms on the tractor when I found it, so I bought a pair on ebay. While I was waiting for them to arrive I drained all the fluids out of the tractor so I could start with fresh new fluids. When the lift arms arrived I put them on the tractor and for some reason I could not keep myself from "Playing" with the movement up and down. I presume I lifted them too high because I heard a small clunk inside the cover and now they barely move at all. What I am wondering is if I add the fluids and start the tractor will it correct itself? or should I take the cover off and check it out?

If you lifted them too high and heard a clunk, then the dogbone most likely fell out of the cup in arm on the rockshaft, so you will need to pull the top cover off to remedy it.
