Ford 901 starting trouble

Hoping you guys can help point me in the right direction. I'm trying to get the old 901 started for the first time in a month or so. I hit the starter button, and it started up but needed a little choke and I wasn't fast enough and it died. 2nd try the battery didn't have enough "juice" to crank it over enough to start.

After letting it sit overnight with a trickle charger, the battery still doesn't have enough it over. It only gets a revolution or two and then the battery give up. The battery does have 12.8v across the terminals. I can take it out and have it load tested. It is a fairly new battery, for what its worth.

Any other items that might cause slow cranking? Could something be wrong with the starter?

Brushes could be wore out in the starter. You could have a bad
connection somewhere. Or the battery might be bad. I would start
by making sure the battery was good. What voltage does your
battery have while cranking?

asy & obvious first step is to substitute another battery........possibly just use jumper cables from another operating vehicle.
