I have a problem with the drain cock leaking on the fuel filter on my 841D. When it started leaking several months ago it was a drop every 3 or 4 minutes. Now it has progressed to approximately one drop every 30 seconds or less. To help stop the flow, I now use pliers and a rag to tighten the drain cock. This helped at first, but hasn't helped lately. My question: can the drain cock be removed without disassembly of the filter, and is there some sort of gasket or O-ring between the two surfaces? (drain cock and filter body) I have a Ford Tractor manual supplement for diesels, but it shows no parts breakdown for the filter. Any help would be appreciated.
