841D Injection pump

I had my injection pump rebuilt and put it back on the tractor.

Bled the fuel filter, had the return line on the pump disconnected, and the fuel lines cracked several turns. Cranked the tractor and started getting fuel from each line so tightened them.

Tractor tried to start, blew a little smoke than quit.

Re-opened the fuel lines at the injectors and now am not getting any fuel. Have re-bled filter etc. I am getting fuel out of the return line fitting.

Is there anything on the pump that needs to be bled?

You're doing it right, nothing more to bleed. Make sure you have good flow TO the pump and try again. Air can be hard to get out at times..

You were right. With a bit more persistence that you suggested, was able to get the diesel fired up.
