801 running very rough after warming up

Starts fine, once it gets some temp in it, it starts loading up pretty bad. I can keep it running by feathering the choke. No torque under load. I pulled down & cleaned carb. Where do I look next - coil, condenser or ?

Always check spark first, if spark ok at stall, check fuel, if it takes a whip check tank for vacuum.. Carefully..

even with gas cap off, still rough. I can see a pinhole of light through the cap. Idling rough at 1200 rpm @ operating temp. When I pull choke out 1/2 it smooth's out to a cat's purr, and increases to 1400 rpm. With choke @ 1/2 pulls up front end loader like it should.

Check your spark and make sure it is a good blue white and will jump a 1/4 inch gap or more. If choking it helps you might want to try after checking spark to open up the main jet a tad bit.

Carburetion or vacuum leak if choking it helps! Could be a simple adjustment, or something a bit more involved.

Had the same problem with a jubilee. The intake manifold was cracked. Couldn't see it till I took the manifold off.

It was bad carb tune. Adjusted jet and idle and cleaned filter, and it is back at full power. Thanks to all for the good advice.
