I'm trying to get the simplest system in the world to work - the lights. The front lights work fine except no instrument lights turn on. The rear light will not come on. When I turn the rear light on, the instrument lights come on but the rear light does not. If I take the bulbs out of the instrument lights (the two on top for tach lighting) the rear light will work.
The other thing, if the red wire going down the steering column to the back light is unhooked by the gear shift. It reads 12v when ever the ignition switch is on but if I connect it rear light wiring the rear light doesn,t come on but the dash lights come on
Whats up with that?
My second question is what are the positions of the ignition switch.
Mine is "off all the way to the left
one click to right?
two clicks to right "ignition on"

What is the difference between one click and two clicks?
