Made a little progress today (pics)

I haven't got it near done yet, but I did make some progress.
Lugnuts were in rough shape, but came out of the rock tumbler
looking quite a bit better than they were.

Got a coat of primer on it. Not looking too bad for the day.
Stuck a steering wheel on it to help shed dew/water.

Highlight of my day was finding this headlight ring at a tractor show. Been looking for it for over a year.
You can see where the duct tape used to hold the headlight in.
Odd light, 4 1/2 inches in diameter, but the ring is over an inch
wide. Different tractor obviously, but I had to go to show! LOL

It's a 640. Been tinkering with it for a while now.
Hopefully I'll have it done in a week or so. Can't wait.

I'm going to guess it's a 6XX as the ear for the top rocker is not as recessed into the differential housing.
But I'm not a 4 cyl man so will take correction on that.
Looks good Royce.
The worst part is the cleaning and you're beyond that now.
Oh, and whatever kind of light that is it's the right one for that particular tractor.
I'm sure of it.

LOL I like your thinking UltraDog. That light is on an 8N and it is
not right, but it is what was on it. I'm fairly certain they were put
on when the PO converted it to 12V. It all works fine, but was
missing the ring. Rather than replacing lights, I waited it out until
I found a ring. A little paint and it will be "all better".

You're right about that cleaning bit too. That's the tough part!
Here's a couple of pictures of some of that too.
The foaming action of dollar store oven cleaner....

And the red river that runs when you wash it off.....
