Are you guys servicing air cleaners today? I have had two instances of driving rain pushing enough water into the intake to cause the tractor to both start hard and run poorly. Upon opening the air cleaner each time I had about an inch of water.

My solo girl sits inside her shop with doors open on both ends. With FEL and six foot bush hog on back end. Would take a heck of a lateral rain to get to the air cleaner, lol.

Had her out after rebuilding carb yesterday afternoon so any rain that might have made it through air cleaner would have ran right out the little hole where the carb used to sit.

Usually have a high enough humidity in afternoons before/after normal daily thundershowers that I swear she likes it better when damp, lol.

Your point is a very good one though. Twice I have had to leave her where she sat in the field and return in couple days with a part or two to get her running again. Condensation on the points, air filters, and a careful look in gas tank usually on list if rained in between.

Count my blessings, high and dry this time.

i usually service oil cup before starting anyway.

mowed and use dthe tractor for cleanup this am. 950 did run her outta gas once. :)
