What is wrong or wore out on a rear wheel that causes the wheel to walk in? Are the wedges wore out or is there a keyway in the hub that is not visible to the outside? Where can a good set of used or after market parts be found? This unit belongs to a neighbor.

How is it held on? if it is u-bolts they need a lot of torque to get them tight enough. I cleaned and lubed the threads to make it easier to get them tight.

The U-bolts can break. What can also happen if the wheel was left loose for some time the cast hub of the wheel gets worn out and you can no longer keep the wheel tight to the axle. You can either pound in thin metal shims to take up the slack or take the wheel off the axle and weld up the casting thats worn. We had to do this on our 9000.
