Update on 4500 Back hose replacement

Finally got this to the point I could top off the hydro fluid and test the back hoe.

Hoe still has other unresolved issues to fix but is back in "workable" condition.

Replaced 5 of the 59" hoses part nbr D8nnd558ea key nbr 1 on the 753 series back hoe parts diagram on New Holland site. The 6 one I had replaced a few months ago when it split.

Had to use dremel to cut off 2 pieces of very sharp metal left from "something" that has been cut out of the back of the hoe frame area where all the hoses exit to the swing arm. One was right on the bottom of frame where the hoses exit, 1" long, by 1/2" high by 1/8 thick" jagged "shark fin" sticking up. Shiny from metal flex hose sheathing rubbing on it.

Other issue I have temporarily resolved with a homemade hose hold down clamp is where the 4 hoses exit swing arm and enter hoe.
That clamp is MIA and I made a temporary one out of 1" pvc flex pipe.

Still need to replace just about every other hose on the back hoe
And need to fix the MIA swing arm pin bushing.

I should probably be looking for a used swing arm as this one is beat to crap, welded all over the place. Bottom pin appears to be welded in place.

In picture 3, the hoses are exiting the top of the turn post. If you'll note the curved ribs on the very top outside edges. those 2 hoses are supposed to be pulled back tight to those ribs & held in place with special brackets that also serve a dual purpose of holding the hyd. cylinder anchor pin in place. It looks to me like they are hanging out there far enough to hit the rear of the tractor when boom is swung to far right or left. See item #14

The hoses coming through there need to be pretty much exact length as you already know they are a tight fit. I had approximate length hoses cut & 1 end crimped. Hooked the crimped end to the valve chest. Then bought field replaceable (screw together) ends to connect out on the cylinder. That allowed me to thred the hoses through the turn post & fix in position. then cut the excess hose off to exact length with a 4" grinder & cut off wheel. Fit the screw together ends on the hose & attach.

I save old radiator hoses and use them as hose protection and wire protection from sharp metal edges.. either as a sheath.. or split and slid on the metal.. someties laced on with a couple holes drilled and zippy ties.
