3 point pin question

I have an 860 and recently bought a howse rotary mower and a dearborn plow. Both equipment didn't come with pins when connecting it to my tractor.

when I go into Tractor Supply/Orschelen's and ask for these, what are they called?

I assume 3 per piece of equipment?
Are they all the same size for category 1?

Any specific type/brand to seek/stay away from?

Thanks,

John

Sorry, pin maybe the wrong term. I'll try to describe using how I see it.

My 3 point arm has a round thing that the arm on the brush hog goes through with a hole at the end. once it's through the tractors 3 point arm, you put a pin in there to keep it from sliding back out.

That pin name is what I'm asking about.

Ah the lynch pins as most call them if your talking about the lock type pin that keeps things from falling out/off. If you catch them on sale you can sometimes buy them 4 for a buck. Be careful with them the lock ring part can give you a sore finger and even brake a finger if it catches you right when it snaps closed. My self I keep enough of those lynch pins so as to have them on ALL my equipment that way you do not have to go looking for where you used them the last time

Me too! Plus 3 or 4 in the tractor toolbox!

I put them down, and they run like hell.

What size are most common?

My tractor is not close to home or the store so I like to ask twice, shop once.

Prolly 3/8" by 1-1/2" as a guess. You will prolly see 3/4" & 1" top link pins in the same area, just get the ones that fit those pins.
