Found this one on CL but the model number looks to me to be the serial Number. Maybe the last C is really a 0? Can anybody shed some light here? Please. http://jackson.craigslist.org/grd/2193300284.html

(quoted from post at 17:02:40 02/05/11) Found this one on CL but the model number looks to me to be the serial Number. Maybe the last C is really a 0? Can anybody shed some light here? Please.

Missing link?

I'd like to be able to explain how that happened, but have no clue
Chalk it up to oldtimer's disease. Some dutiful research shows that c1013c is the model number. I talked to the seller and he is looking for the serial number now. Might as well add this link just in case there's another dummie like me out there. http://www.springfieldbiz.com/oaktree/sn.html

C1013C is a valid model number. First C designates a 3000 series. The 10 indicates a general purpose agricultural chassis. The next 1 indicates a gas engine. The 3 is for a live PTO, and the final C is for an 8 speed transmission. The 47hp that he's advertising was the rated engine hp. The PTO hp is only around 38.

Even this far SE of you Dave, that is a good price if she runs as decently as she looks. Tires around 50% or better, etc on the obvious.

Frame of reference for my neck, my 74 3000 I got for $3k and a few issues from a private non listed seller that was almost a semi gift. Normally mine (W/ FEL) would have been around 10k at local dealers starting price and up. Mine does need clutch and few smaller things so far, brakes, full fluid change, etc. Still a few small leaks and things to go. VR already changed.

That one is a very decent price if she runs like she looks. I wouldn't wait too long to go look. Tis the spring planting season.
