3000 8 bolt rear pics and other questions

Ultradog, Ford Farmer, here is the rear. Snapped more than a few (30 something) so of course my battery died on camera, but got most loaded up to comp. Getting it charged before we go to the Southern Ag Expo tomorrow in Moultrie.

If I may, can I hijack my own thread with quicke question? Supposed to be a Diff lock pedal, could this be where supposed to go? Right foot side of housing, Where the screw was placed in:

Have mad photos of casting numbers from Diff, axles, and even the bearing cover(?) if yall need.

And a thanks to RickB on that Schwartz info!!

First of all, much as I love YT they are a poor photo host. These took forever to load.
Get you an account a photobucket.com
Fast, free and saves our good hosts a ton of bandwidth.
You have a 3000 with some kind of non typical wheel/centers on it. You can see the 8 on 6" behind those centers.
It seems I should be able to see some evidence of a diff lock on your right trumpet.
Maybe it's the angle of your pic? I didn't know they made a square axle without at least the casting for diff lock. Hmmm.
Where are you located?
Wanna swap front axles?
I want to go back to an ag front end.

Ok, bunch more up on Photobucket, should be full mp's.
Camera battery still charging and will get rest of few, including partial front axle shot up later or when back from Southern Ag show.

Photo's of parts

Have several of castings off of each arm(leg? lol) of differential etc. Nice couple of close ups of center of hub, new you would be asking. When time to do tire, and take wheel off, will get plenty of pics etc for you then too.

Front axle is actually welded together and not adjustable anymore. Is on list to be replaced later when major overhauled. Not sure if you would want it in this state of condition.(pic still on recharging camera). Will keep you in mind when time though. may be cheaper to get parts nearby than shipped from Ocala, FL.

Being generally high tech minded, thanks for thumping me about the bandwidth here, was rude of me.

Oh,
No problem on the shipping. I know where there's a 961D with a WFE.
All I gotta do is convince Soundguy to come up and buy it and he can bring this HD 3400 front axle back to FL with him when he comes to get it.

Looked like some type of adapter, just not super evident right away. Even took pics of inside on the album just to be sure. Will find out when I get a chance to change the tire. Looks almost like the right axle is just a flipped over left axle. Part shortage or some previous owner "fix"???

Hmmm, maybe if I throw him a dollar for gas money, he would scrounge me a gas cap from you while he is there. So annoying still not found mine. Its only 3 acre's!! And its shiny!! Hate having to buy one from dealer. Maybe find one in Moultrie tomorrow, that one of the dealers "won't miss"??? hmmm

And am always up for a ROAD TRIP!!! If not mistaken Soundguy would have to pass within earshot of farm, literally. Just 1.7 miles as the crow fly from 75. Ten years OTR and never will get that out of my blood. Wifey never asks where I want to go eat, for some strange reason...

Front bolster & axle beam scream "3400" to me.

Once again we see an oft proclaimed "rule" to be invalid; that square trumpets always indicate presence of difflock.

Those adapters were used (as pictured) for rail-type PA rims that used the more common 8 on 8 bolt pattern. Similar but not identical to the adapters used on LCG's that had dual 8x24 pressed steel rims with the same 8 on 8 bolt circle. All of this is in the parts catalog.
